Friendly welcoming staff greeted us on arrival, generous starters(pâté and field mushroom) filled by the Hunters Chicken and the steak & kidney pudding. Needed time to recover before we could contemplate trying the homemade banoffee, well worth the wait. Great food, great service, great evening

One of our favourite places for a mid week lunch - Chefs Pie wonderful pastry, fresh vegatables & real chips - Hunters Chicken large chicken breast with back bacon & melted cheese, baby tomatoes & again real chips. Lovely setting with pleasant staff & a welcoming log fire.

I visited The Wilbraham Arms in Alsager on 12th October 2013 with my girlfriend. We were welcomed with friendly and professional staff who directed us into the conservatory where we had made our table reservation. I thought when we were ordering that the prices were a little expensive for Alsager but when the food arrived it was really nice. We will be back soon.

On our return visit to the UK we visited this fine establishment again.
We were served wonderful meals and the Sunday carvery was the best we have ever had. There is no way anybody would get a better meal in any other restaurant 10/10.The staff and the owners Sharon & Roy are as courteous as ever. The music nights are excellent where the artists interacts with the audience to make your night most enjoyable.
Well done The Wilbraham Arms.

The family had a excellent meal this week at The Wilbraham Arms, fresh well presented food, hot and cooked just right plus the service was outstanding. My daughter said it was the best lasagne she had ever had.
We accepted an invitation from Roy (the owner) to return following our visit earlier this summer which didn't quite deliver. However, I can honestly say that whatever the reason for the poor meal then has clearly been rectified as the meal we had this week was one of the best we have ever had here. Will certainly be back in the near future.

It was our first visit as a family today . We had a Sunday Lunch . The food was excellent, massive portions and just tasted superb.
Staff were so welcoming and friendly and nothing was to much trouble . The pub itself is spotlessly clean and obviously well maintained .

It's a credit to Sharon & Roy and their staff !!
See you very soon .

My wife and I have frequented this pub since the middle 1980s, since it is only one-half mile from my Mum-in-Law's bungalow. It used to be your average rural pub, nothing special. How it has changed, however, in the past few years; it has reached the state where it can be labeled a "gastro pub". Staff is friendly and attentive, management responsive to requests, the menu extensive, and the Sunday carvary is excellent. Beers and wine are also very good and poured by friendly staff. This place is well worth a visit when you are off the beaten path.

We had a family meal over Bank Holiday weekend. We were greeted by friendly staff and found a table near the door as it was a hot day. I had to go and find a menu though as there were none on the table. Overall I think that the food is quite expensive for a pub menu, although having said that, the portions are very big, possibly too big for us. I would also say that the price of the glasses of wine were really expensive too. Overall though the food was very nice and we had a good time. I'd like to go back and try the carvery as it seems to get really good reviews.

Dining at the Wilbraham Armss was a lovely experience. As a family we were more than impressed by the range of food. We found the staff most helpful and friendly, nothing was to much trouble. The hosts Roy and Sharon were very charming and attentive. We will defintely be visiting again. What a lovely pub.

On arriving to this picturesque country pub we were greeted by very friendly and attentive staff. We ordered the Mixed Grill from the specials menu which was a huge portion for its value and still contained the highest quality of meats, as my husband is a butcher and knows his stuff!
Our food arrived promptly and with a smile, the atmosphere was humble and the cheesecake is fantastic! I don't usually go to the trouble to write reviews but on this occasion our dining experience was wonderful and we will most definitely be coming again!

You must visit the Wilbraham Arms for a great local all round experience. Great food from a varied, eclectic menu coupled with live music make for a great night out.

Roy and Sharon have been providing a warm welcome to their clientele for a number of years now and are continually striving to develop innovative theme nights to provide new experiences for customers both new and old.

We have been going to the Wilbraham Arms for the last 13 years and have never been disappointed. The food rates as one of the best we've eaten - especially the carvery!! The staff are always friendly and attentive which is a reflection of Roy and Sharon's passion, drive, experience and determination to provide an excellent meal. The menu has plenty of choice, so much so we are still trying to work through it !! We've eaten in the light and spacious conservatory as well as the cosy atmosphere of the main bar and the outside area is great for catching the sun!

We'll be back soon!!

We took the mother-in-law out for her birthday last weekend. Carvery excellent value - clean plates all around. Not even room for a pud!

Recommended to me by my wife who has been there with her WI group and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had a rib-eye steak and it was done to perfection. Manager, chef and staff were very attentive without being pushy. There is a good choice of ales and lager and the overall price was reasonable for what we had. Will definitely go again.

Me and my husband recently visited here on a busy Friday evening, we had to wait quite a while but this was explained to us from the fantastic staff as we ordered. The food was fine but the service was outstanding with well trained staff. Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help us! Will definitely visit again!

We took our friends for the first time, as we have been many places before. On arrival we were impressed with the service staff as we had a friendly greeting and were shown to our table. We decided to have the Sunday carvry. It was so nice to have the chef who served us to be friendly. We all had different meats with ofcourse the usual potatoes and veg etc. His Yorkshire puddings were huge, but impressive and we even had a giggle with the chef over them.We were all very impressed with the meal. It was hot and we thought that everything was cooked just right. Unfortunately you can't please everyone, and I can only speak as all of us found the visit. Friendly, proffesional, and good value for the price. I should like to point out however, with 20 years experience in the past, that with rules and regulations gone are the days that a chef or cook can please himself /herself. Meat has to be cooked and probed at 82 degrees. Therefore it may appear over cooked to some people. We should like to thank all the staff for making our visit enjoyable, and we shall visit again.

The Wilbraham Arms is a good night out when they have an act on or theme night. On the other hand if you want a good meal in nice surroundings with a good menu, great staff that are very friendly with tip top service then this is the place to go both for lunch/dinner or just a quiet drink and a chat with friends.

Went first time with my wife few weeks ago to the Spanish evening, was totally surprised with the quality and presentation of food, good service too.
So we decided to try it again, and I was not let down, this a place I have just discovered, service exceptional food you can only find in cities like London, I had Moroccan lamb and it was amazing. We will certainly go back again

I have never left a review on here before. However the service, food, ambiance and whole set up was first class and worth 5 minutes of my time writing this review. If you attend this venue I promise you won't be disappointed. Very impressed, quality at a proportionate price with staff who can't do enough for you,This is the place to be in South Cheshire,Will be going back soon.

isited The Wilibrham Arms last night for an "early" tea. The bar area was full with people dining. Didn't realise for they now do any early bird menu between 6.00 pm - 7.00 pm.

We opted for dishes from the full price mains menu. Really nice good, very well presented, piping hot. Portions sizes very good. We certainly didn't leave hungry.

Also given that the bar dining area was really busy we didn't have to wait long for our meal.

We'd not been into The "Willies" for a while, due to work and family commitments, but we'll certainly not leave it as long before we visit again.

Roy, Sharon and their team are working hard to make this local a place to go for a drink, have a bar meal or have a more formal meal in the conservatory.

I would highly recommend their Sunday lunch carvery. They have a really good, well cooked selection of meats and the vegetables were amazing - traditional and some things which were a little bit different and adventurous. We have booked again for March and we cannot wait to go back! The only room for improvement I have found was last Summer, it was uncomfortably hot (for us) in the conservatory. Otherwise the restaiurant surroundings are nice and there is always plenty of parking available.

Lovely cosy pub. Food plentiful and lovely. Service good. Staff friendly.
Two courses £12.50. Food served hot and quickly. One of our party has various allergies. The chef came to see her and did a meal especially for her that she could eat. Thanks chef.

We've visited the Wilbraham arms a couple of times now after it being recommended by friends at work and it has not yet failed to disappoint.
The food is excellent, good value and freshly made. The drink is good quality with a wide variety of ales and ciders.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the dining area and tables are clean.
Another nice touch is that you can sit in the conservatory which is good on a rainy day.
Would certainly return again to try the carvery at some point.

We wish to thank The Wilbraham Arms for a fantastic evening on April 2nd, 2012, it was my husband & I's 35th Wedding Anniversary, my youngest son Chris and his wife Donna treated us to a 3 course meal. It was the best food we have ever had out before, it beats all the top restaurants we have been to in the past. The owner Roy was so caring and friendly, the staff were lovely to, we weren't rushed, they are child friendly, very clean everywhere, and the food was fab, it was such good value for money, a very big thankyou for a very enjoyable evening, we will certainly be returning and telling all our friends to do the same, highly recommended. My Wife and I visited Alsager and the surrounding area for two weeks recently. We visited The Wilbraham Arms an several occasions. We found Roy & Sharon to be two of the nicest people we have met in a long time.Their premises are spotlessly clean and the toilets are so clean you could eat your lunch off the floor. The food is excellent especially the Sunday carvery, scrumptious. We enjoyed the quiz nights & also the excellent live music on a Thursday & Sunday. We would love to live in Alsager and make this excellent premises our local.10/10. Thanks Roy and Sharon for your kindness and making us feel so welcome during our stay. In all a wonderful day. I highly recommend the 'Wilbraham' for any occasion. S.B

The Wilbraham Arms is a great local pub. We'd say the best in Alsager!!! Roy, Sharon and the team work really hard and are always very welcoming. It's a nice place to go as a couple, family or to meet up with friends, old and new. The choice of food available is excellent. Always a good portion, well presented and served with a smile. We enjoy the "Nights with the Stars" evenings. The acts booked are top rate. The evening is well worth the money - includes a cabaret act and a tasty two course buffet meal, which again has plenty of choice on offer. We'd highly recommend booking a ticket. Leave it too late and you'll be disappointed. Jazz nights on a Sunday evening and Curry Nights on a Thursday are also enjoyable. Keep up the good work. Denise & Mick

One year ago on the 17th October it was our wedding day and we chose the Wilbraham Arms for our reception. We had been there for lunch on occasions and for our mums 70th birthday which was lovely. But all the stops were pulled out for our wedding reception. Roy and his staff were very accommodating and made our special day one to remember. Everything was perfect from the minute we walked through the door. The room looked lovely and the food was of outstanding quality !! We would fully recommend the venue for any special occasion..... We arranged to go to the Wilbraham arms on a recommendation from my father in laws friend and when I heard it was under renovation but was still 'open as usual' I was a little worried but my fears were totally unfounded. We were seated at a large oval table with plenty of room for the seven of us. It was warm and comfortable. As it was my partners 40th Birthday and we had arranged we would bring a cake to be handed over to the staff who would, at the right moment bring it out to our table with candles lit. The staff were friendly and served us with excellence. We waited and wanted for nothing during our meal. The menu was as you would expect from a pub type restaurant and the food was cooked to our liking and was of good quality and large portions. We had a lovely time and would recommend and go again.
